Overview
What this certification is and how the exam works.
The CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is the world's most recognized credential for security leaders. It covers eight domains: Security and Risk Management (16%); Asset Security (10%); Security Architecture and Engineering (13%); Communication and Network Security (13%); Identity and Access Management (13%); Security Assessment and Testing (12%); Security Operations (13%); and Software Development Security (10%). The English exam uses computerized adaptive testing (CAT): 100–150 items in 3 hours, passing at 700/1000. Candidates need five years of cumulative paid experience in two or more domains (four with a qualifying degree); those without it can pass the exam and become an Associate of ISC2 while earning the experience.
